Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Altamens website and mobile applications (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Altamens provides cognitive training games, tests and progress tracking for general mental fitness and entertainment. Altamens is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Scores such as "Brain Age" are playful estimates, not clinical measurements.

3. Accounts

You can play without an account. If you sign in with Google or Apple, you are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to it secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to create an account.

4. Subscriptions and payments

• Parts of the Service are free. Altamens Pro is a paid subscription (monthly or yearly) that unlocks premium features.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime via the "Manage" link in your profile, your app store subscription settings, or the billing portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Payments are processed by Stripe (web), Apple or Google (mobile), coordinated through RevenueCat. Prices may change; we will notify you before a change affects an active subscription.
• Except where required by law or by the app store's own policy, payments are non-refundable for partial billing periods.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• cheat, automate gameplay, or manipulate leaderboard scores;
• use offensive or impersonating display names;
• reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its security;
• use the Service in violation of applicable law.

We may remove scores, rename profiles, or suspend accounts that break these rules.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its games, design, code, branding and content, is owned by Altamens and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain no ownership in the Service by using it.

7. Availability and changes

We may add, change or remove features (including games, tests and leaderboards) at any time, and may suspend or discontinue the Service. We are not liable for loss of locally stored progress — sign in to back up your stats.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that training results will transfer to real-world outcomes.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Altamens shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted here with its "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
